ABOUT

J Camden is an Oakland-based recording and touring artist. They are a long-time teacher with School of Song and releases music with Fountain Inc. record label. Their music embraces the raw guitar-driven sound of rock and roll pioneers like Link Wray and Sister Rosetta Tharpe, while maintaining the sensitive heart of a folk songwriter. Every one of their projects joyfully experiments with form, harmony, and sound. The music sounds like Chris Cohen, Deerhoof, and Chad VanGaalen.
